| Gunzfactorian | Well in school i've been learning about The Battle Of The Som Or Somme when the british walked into the germans fighting and lost, It's made me very into this subject and i wanted to discuss this in serious discussion because the captains, and etc... make a plan to kill the germans from diffrent places, but the german's destroyed them,we even had 2 allies and we still lost the war but after that we came back and had better supplies and captain's and killed the german's how is your view on what happend to the british men and the french, isnt it bad that they walked into battle and when they were under fire they just kept walking? it's quite upsetting for pepole to die like that, and upsetting for my teacher in 6 Forum anyway please reply and hear you'r views on this. Sorry for any errors or mistakes. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | Well, taking the strategy of it all they mustn't have been very brilliant. It happens a lot. They think they can overpower them with their massive army but don't take the time to plan how to cut losses. I mean, lets take British warfare. For the longest time when they were still considered red coats, they grouped together and marched in formation. It sure had a good concentrated power but it didn't trust the soldiers to do anything themselves. Sometimes the instincts or gut feelings of the soldier in the situation could assess the situation better than a commander leading the entire group. I blame the power struggle among ranks. They want loyal dogs, not soldiers. |
