Personally NIV is just to make it easier to understand a scripture, but i found that if you take the king james verison, many scriptures can mean 2 entirely different lessons out of one scripture. That sometimes with the greek words, such as Logos can mean Word, as in the beginning there was the word, adn word was god, and the word was with god etc. However that can mean Expression, as in a form, mainly as like my body is an expression of myself used that sort of way. This can mean that there was an Expression of someone, that someone was god, yet was with god also. Is but yet with? Theres a whole thing i could do on Oneness, but that would just upset everyone no doubt. Main point is, that NIV is fine for every day reading, but KJV has the real mysteries in it if you only take the time to look. | |

![]() | i have read some of the king james bible and also have "attempted" to read the koran also, and read some of the satanic bible. its all usually pretty interesting, but i think alot of it could be false information just because either it is too new or it is too old. |

| Banned | When I was a young church go'er, the bible I'd use was my father's old King Jame's bible. I remeber it was a big old leather bound book. I havn't really read any of the newer versions, but Im pretty sure the same message is preached in all of them. |

![]() | i feel sorry for anson. even religious books can give you a new message of some kind even if you dont choose to believe in them. my personal goal is to read all holy texts since they all can teach something. |
