![]() | I don't believe in fate. Fate and destiny are the same thing to me. I think it's just a way to accuse something that happened to you. I'm not trying to sound like a fanboy, but if you ever watched Naruto, Neji rambled on about destiny not being able to change, while Naruto said something around, "If you work hard enough, you can change your destiny." So, no. It's just an excuse to hide behind. You just might get screwed over in the beginning, but that isn't fate, that's just unfortunate. Not it was meant for you. |

![]() | i dont believe in fate because that would mean that i have no control over my life and i am not about to take that. i control my life, i control which way i turn, whether or not i do something and everything else in my life. |

Example: I want a pie. Well, fate already knows whether i've made that decision or not. I can't fake it out. If I wanted pie, I would get the pie, but then run back and not get the pie, run back, run away, run back and finally get the pie, then set it down, pick it up, set it down, pick it up again and eat it. I was always destined to do that, although it just seemed like random jibberish to me. If I didn't want the pie, then I was destined not to eat the pie. It really doesn't matter if you're in control of you're life or not, since you don't know what's going to happen in the future, no matter how hard you try. You are still in control of you're lives, from your standpoint, but in the massive-grand-scheme-of-things, you were always destined to do what you did/do/are going to do. If you were about to get hit by a car, but you JUST missed getting hit, then that was supposed to happen, even though it seemed like bizarre luck. Get what i'm saying? -ahem- I don't believe in fate because mainly there's no real proof that fate exists (Like God and sometimes Evolution) So, whether fate truely exists or not, is not certain. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | i dont believe in fate- Fate=A predetermined Path of life. But since i can choose not to sit here and reply to this, this wouldnt make this my fate. I can hit the quick reply button, and reply. OR i could hit go advanced and post something else. Fate=An excuse for something happening to you. In other words, it superstitious. If you believe in bad luck would you believe in fate? In a way, we all have a predetermined thing already. We are all gonna die at one point in our lives. How we die, is where most people think "Fate" comes in. Fate is like saying what COULD'VE happened. IT doesnt matter what COUDLVE happened because it DID NOT Happen, and can never happen again. |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Your assuming...which makes ME assume thats why you believe in fate. You have to assume something is gonna happen. Fate-A predetermined plan(this has been stated so many times before) The person who invented the word "Fate" is probably a person who nearly got hit by a car, said "omfg its my fate to not get hit by a car!" Walked around his the rest of his life thinking he would live forever, since it was his FATE to dodge death. Heard a rumor about a immortal potion, drunk it, and drowned from it. What people say fate is is the future. You cant see the future...its all guesses. Someone COULD invent a immortal potion, im guessing your thinking "Yes, its their fate." Its all guessing, no one knows for sure, therefore fate is non-existant,(giving fate is a predetermined plan of your life.) Since your to end up dead in one way or another, does it really matter how we get their. Seeing how we all die one day, fate is really...another term for death. Seeing how all roads lead to death. Fate is a fancy word for the obviously knowable. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | There is no, and never will be no [untill you die] way to tell weather or not fate is real or if we are in control of our own lives. "I was originally going to turn right. but i decided that was fate, so i turned left!." "How do you know that fate didn't want you to turn left and you, by deciding to not turn right played into fates hands." "ok then im turning right!!" "maybe fate had me say that to make you turn right after all." "well... then... im turning left again.... i suppose.." "what if fate made you turn left, then had me make you turn right, just so you would end up turning left?" "well thats a really roundabout way of making me turn left.." "what if fate WANTED you to go through a roundabout process of turning left?" "shut up..." "what if fate doesn't WANT me to shut up?" as you can see, this is a pointless argument. you could fight all day, but in the end you will never ever know... while you are still on this earth that is... Die first, ask questions later. |
