I agree with everyone here.

The girl has to have some looks that can at least gain your attention (though this isn't really important, there are relationships that go on despite the girl having suffer from deformities).

At the same time, she should have a good personality, which is the most important factor ; who would want to marry a woman who is planning to cheat on you anyway? Besides, it is the personality that makes a not so attractive woman look so attractive in the eyes of a man.

Money... well that's a terrible reason if you want to marry a woman for. Money's more like just an extra bonus. Not to be too sexist or stereotypical, but it should be the guys who are working (especially since, normally women marry when they are not so active in their careers), unless you're telling me that the guy has more knowledge on how to look after the child etc than the woman, which is understandable.

Besides, women want to be loved for who they are, and they would only want to GENUINELY marry someone who love them for who they are. Yes, genuinely, I am aware that there are women who marry a guy for money.

Slightly off-topic: You know, I don't think I'd ever have a problem marrying someone who I know would out-do me career wise. I've never viewed it as the "man's job," set it stone really. Hell, it sounds like a good deal more than anything else to me lol.

Of course because in society its a sign of success so its like being a successful hunter for other animals. There is a point where money sceeses to make a difference in the long term though and it can be detrimental in the end if you work too hard for the money.

So it shouldn't be too important beyond knowing that the person can provide for you or you can provide for the both of you. Unfortunatly is probably is.

Obviously if they're hideous I will never be more than just friends.

My girlfriend has probably the best personality I've ever found in a person. She puts up with my **** with a smile on her face which sometimes I can't see how she does it. I can be very very stubborn.
She's by no standards ugly, she's probably the cutest girl I've ever met too. She's just not the skinniest. A little chubby, but in her defense she's barely over five feet. Yeah sometimes I wonder how it would be if she were typical fashion model skinny but in the end I don't really care. She makes me happy and as long as she doesn't grow to be disgustingly fat I'm fine with it.
Not to mention it means less men are staring at her, which is always nice.

She's not rich at all. This is mainly due to the epic stupidity of her parents. But she's working very hard to pay her way through college to pay off loans while I ride off my parent's money they saved up in stocks ect for me. I honestly don't mind if we end up together with just enough money to pay the bills, cloth and feed ourselves. I'll be happy. It sounds cheesy but it's true.

Not to mention she has no interest in video games unless it's more of a casual party game like guitar hero or mario kart...which means I spend less time playing games alone in my room...which is good.

She's my true first and probably going to be my last. I got really luck on my first go.
