![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think its bs those test such as the SAT type of test where they give you like 25 minutes to answer 23 questions includeing 2 passages to read.. These people that make these test really are retarded. How are you going to test someone on sh!t that they dont even have time to complete. Anywho what do you guys think about timed test. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | I think the idea of standardized testing is the stupidest thing I've heard anyway. They bore the few brilliant students who could use the time to do something useful, they put stress on the average students who could use the time to study and actually learn something or pass a regular test, and it just gives stupid kids a chance to make a joke out of something some people work hard for, if not cheat. Plus it doesn't give you any info you couldn't gain from a five minute conversation, and it doesn't give you all of the info you get from that convo either. AND! They use there stupid little system that ends up teaching at the lowest possible level rather than allowing the accelerated students to accelerate. Who care if you can answer multiple choice questions about dolphins intelligence..... Not everyone can take a test and do well. That doesn't make them stupid. But that's ok I suppose, as it turns out test taking happens to be something I'm good at XD |

| Gunzfactorian Commando | Yeah, it never bothered me because I've always been pretty good at taking tests and usually ended up finishing with half the time left over... I guess what I'd do is, well, just don't stall, and only answer what you know. If you don't know something, take the best logical guess and move on. I never liked waiting for tests to finish, and no one ever seems to take all the time given, but meh. |

![]() | The tests are made with emphasis on mostly pedagogical thoughts and some educational. The school is no longer about learning* kids to read or do maths, it's about learning them everything else. Ethics, self-confidence, morals... From the day we begin school we are methodically brainwashed to become good citizens. At least 'till you reach high school/college where many of the weaker drop out. *English isn't my first languange Last edited by Mr.Lucifer; 06-09-2008 at 09:43 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | oh , im not talking about regents. Regents test=enough of time. im talking about test such as the SAT reasoning test and the CPA accountant test. Like it takes me usually 1 minute to do each question. I need to read something twice to comprehend it. these testing people make us kids rush on test so we finish on time instead of letting us take the dam test.(not an hour to do 20 questions but like 40 mins) What ever happen to the saying "takes your time" or something lol.. |
