Good idea, just seems unlikely to happen. They're probably looking to make a slightly different rendition of a pistol or a rifle. Nothing that involves too much work on their part, they're just trying to take advantage of the group of Gunz fans that have been chilling on the private servers, learning to create game content for them. | |

| Member | I think the stats are already balanced. I understand how you and every else feels about Maeit, but I honestly don't think you give them enough credit and I believe IJJI said new classes are accepted. I also agree about some of the other designs suggested that would require a lot of effort balancing, and adjustments and such. That was taken into consideration when I thought of this, and it's why it's simple. It doesn't need any balancing because it goes along with the other weapons in the game. It's basically a weaker sword with more range, new animations (and sound thx), no block, and lightly different right click. The range will give it a slight advantage to sword/kodachi, but without the ability to block, BF, or random massive/recoil, it is still inferior. However, with a little skill you could use the range to it's maximum potential. Daggers have the advantage and ability to continuously stab while moving, and they both don't have block. Daggers are faster, so they would likely win out up close. Speaking of faster... I just noticed I forgot to add the attack speed and weight. This is what happens when you don't play gunz in a month and a half, and you make up stats 2 minutes before you send an email. I wonder if they will allow participants to send updates. Let's see.... weight... Weight: 10 Delay: 350 And btw, it works like a sword, so you can still k-style with it without bf. Last edited by Zanoken; 04-15-2008 at 06:47 AM. |

| The One and Only | I used to think the same way you do about Maiet. About people not giving them enough credit. But then I started realizing after two years had passed and I had played the same exact game with less than five MINOR advancements that they really are a ****ty company. Maybe they'll be willing to actually do some work for this, I dunno. I actually didn't read the rules of the contest, but if they're accepting entirely new classes of weapons, then that's cool. Surprising though. |

| Gunzfactorian Postcount Demi-God | classic flip...<3 if you didnt know what classic flip was it was back in the beta days of gunz (the very first beta) and the flip animation was what you described. i would have recommend blocking though but make the animation shorter than a swords. still get NEW idea. |

| Member | About the block - I don't think so. The random massives would be disgusting. If you ever got hit from a mile away with a massive, you how it is. The range is longer, so every time you give them a massive their reach will be enough to hit you because the sword needs to be well inside their range to hit the staff. Turtling should stick to sword/kodachi, that would make the weapon more unique. A short block without massive on hit is ok if that's what you mean. Seems like more coding tho... and doesn't make sense. But then again, I'm betting you can block bullets with the wooden sword too. The old flip sounds cool, I remember some videos of it. I don't mean to flip them that far tho, I remember the flip launched like 2-3 times further than lunge. It would be like a flip with shorter vertical distance and land were lunge pushes maybe a little closer. I remember those animations were sick back then. It's funny how they were wasted, couldn't even use them for a different weapon or something. |

| The One and Only | I think the shorter block would make a lot more sense. I mean, wood blocking bullets, no, but then again, Katanas aren't exactly shields either. A bullet should go right through those, or at least render the weapon unusable lol. But about the range, the extended range should only come while attacking. If blocking with the stick, you wouldn't be pointing the stick towards your target, so a closed in block would make sense. |

| Member | Hmm, pretty thoughtful. Would work out very well. Except, you introduce a new type of melee weapon. Staff They would probably like to create more than one. Also, that staff seems like a relatively long or big weapon. Which, will increase the ping. The only reason ijji did not create females with hair going below the shoulders is because it will lag. 8/10 |

| The One and Only | The woman's hair thing sounds like a comment you either just made up, or someone you heard it from just made up. Neither this weapon, nor a woman's long hair would make the game lag. If that were the case, we wouldn't have overcoats. A bamboo stick will not make the game lag, guaranteed. |
