| NEWBCAEK | Make it more symmetrical (less scattered). Make "Points" (spawns) that is an even number. If you decide to have 6 "points", put 3 on each side and the middle one of the three the Spawn for TDMs. Maybe add a tunnel that goes around the map and has an entrance on both sides of the "half" of the map. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Not feeling it. This map lacks ALOT of practicality in many senses. Considering that we want a NEW map and we are only going to get 1 new map I would have to guess that the mogaority of voters will be looking for a map that actually is compatible with all gaminng modes. This map would only surfice for a small death match, and only for semi advanced to advanced players for that matter. When creating a map should should take into account all of the players that could possible enter, including newbs. That map will definitely require wall cancelling skills just for decent effectiveness, and alot of new players will not have this skill down perfectly yet so you will have alot of people that will never play this map for that reason. Also this map is completely useless for any weapons other than rockets, shotguns and revs as you cannot really spray while wall climbing. Now if you designed it specifically to alienate sprayers, which would be highly unprofessional and immature, do not forget that the magority of new players spray, and IJJI forums (where the voting will be located) consists of mainly newer players, so you will loose ALOT of votes because of this. Second you cannot have a duel match here simply because there is absolutely no spot for cover in order to reload, and it will end up just being a flip match. This map CANNOT do attack and defend as there is no blue or red base, it cannot do a basic team death match as you are spending so much effort trying not to die that any form of team coorporation goes out the window. You cannot do assasination because the suicide factor is so high that your games will be won mostly by the assination target suiciding or getting flipped and there is no space for team movement and no symtery to support team starting locations. You cannot do TDM extreme for the same reason. You cannot even have a decent training map going as there is very little training space, unless you are trying to train wall cancel. In short this map is highly unpractical for most modes of Gameplay and I would personally not vote for this map because I would never want to play in such a map. Stairway is enough of a pain in the ass with the constant wall climbing and flippers, this is stairway pushed to the highest extreme of inconvenience. Also this is faaaar too simply and unattractive. There is no aesthetic sense through the entire composition, I do not see any visual balance, no symetry and to be honest did you even think of the theme of this map? Because the theme which should be one of the highest priorities in a map seems either to be nonexistant or a complete afterthought. Would it just be random floating blocks? What textures would you even use for this? Would it be black and white, would it be an area? Would the floating blacks be in space or on earth? We dont have nearly enough information to guess for ourselves because all you have given us is a black and white show that looks like it was created on SKetch Up in about 5 minutes. I can tell you right now if you want this actually created in gunz, auronmotomo could do this in GKradiant in about 5-20 minutes which includes adding texture and add it to your favorite pserver client. This is not official server map material. I will be blantantly honest when I say this is not what the magority of the gunz community is looking for in a map. Sorry if this critisizm is rather harsh, but I decided that if you want to win bad enough, you should accept all forms of cumstructive critisizm as the same people adding their advice will possible be the same people voting for the maps in the end. |
