| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Yes I live in London, and I was allowed from both an off licence and a club, the age has always been 18, people I knew (who looked old enough) would be able to buy alcohol at the age of 16-17 without having ID checked Smoking at 16 but buying at 18 does make sense, doesnt matter what age it will still do its damage, but at 18 you should be wise enough to realise that. |

| Gunzfactorian Hero | 18. Smoking should be banned all together, not because it's doing damage to your own body, we obviously can't control what you do to yourself, but because of what it does to others. Why should others have to suffer just so you can smoke? I'm talking second hand here, which kills more clean people than the smokers themselves. As for alcohol, it does damage too but not outside of drunken driving, it doesn't do AOE damage you know? |

i think 18(alcohol) 16(tobacco) is better, they criminalized alot of teenagers that smoked from the age of 16 and are addicted but now unable to buy cigerettes. | |
