| Gunzfactorian Postcount Demi-God | I. The Basics Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash These are the four basic moves required to perform the most basic of instafall techniques. The enemy must be flat on the ground or lower than you. If he/she is not on equal or lower ground than you, it is likely that you will miss. Given this information, lets see the move from the inside. II. The Breakdown Uppercut - There are two types of uppercut moves in the game: katana and kodachi. Katana uppercut forces you to stand in one place through the uppercut animation where as the kodachi uppercut can be used while moving. Both can be used in instafall. Sometime in the middle of the uppercut animation is the actual uppercut action. This is the prime time to press block. Block - In this move, block acts as a cancel to the uppercut animation. Because the block animation is much faster than the uppercut animation, it allows you to jump much faster than without. Jump - Timing your jump is crutial depending on which type of instafall variation you are doing. With the normal instafall, you will jump immediately after the block animation ends. Slash - For the first few times you do instafall, I suggest you spam the slash key after the jump. The timing is extremely difficult to learn any other way. III. Variations There are two direct variations of Instafall. There is the single slash version, and the double butterfly version. The single slash version is: Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash The double slash version is: Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash -> Block -> Slash -> Block If you have done the single slash version of instafall for any length of time, you are probably wondering how the second one is possible. Well heres the scoop. The block animation has a timer that says you cant slash before the timer ends. However, the jump animation is allowed to happen before the block animation ends. By delaying the jump slightly, you can perform a static double butterfly during the instafall. Lets look at the chain again more closely. [Uppercut -> Block] -> [Jump -> Slash -> Block -> Slash -> Block] Block cancelled Uppercut -> Static DBfly IV. View Variations A long time ago we used to think that slashing was unidirectional, completely based on your field position, and had nothing to do with which way you're looking. Apparently, we were far from correct, as your direction has very specific effects on your target. Allow me to show you some variations. Always fall (No Safefall) The best way to describe this move is that they are not allowed to safefall, no matter how fast or hard they press their space bar. The best way to describe how to do this move is to say "Look parallel with the ground" meaning look as straight forward as possible. This move is very sensitive, as being too high or too low will make them fly in various directions based on which way you were looking. Slash Juggling (NOSF) After an alwaysfall, it is possible to keep an opponent suspended in the air indefinitely, and it requires you to look a specific way. The easiest way to do this move is to literally... While Looking up at the opponent [Slash -> Slash -> Slash -> Block Cancel] Quick fall (SF/NOSF) During the initial slash, if you look straight down at the ground, they will fall very rapidly. If done after a Alwaysfall, they will get up from the ground almost as fast as you put them there. This can be used various ways to confuse your enemy, and continue your juggling process. V. Common Combos DBfly Grinder Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> (while holding forward) Slash -> Block -> Slash -> Block -> Repeat Static DBfly while taping forward to keeping close to your enemy Always Fall Uppercut -> Block -> (wait until the last possible second) Jump -> Slash Instafall-kill Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash -> Switch -> Shoot Instafall-rsKill Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash -> Switch -> Shoot -> Reload -> Switch -> Shoot Instafall + Danstep Uppercut -> Block -> Jump -> Slash -> Block -> Dash -> Slash -> Switch -> Shoot Some more later. ![]() | Firstly i didn't realise you actually invented the instafall so well done and thankyou for that, secondly thankyou for the guide. I've been meaning to learn how to instafall for a while and this is the most comprehensive and easily understandable guide i have found to date. I would give you +rep+ but since i have under 100 posts it wouldn't make a difference =) |

![]() | You are the proper person to make this guide, since you basically invented the instafall. Many of these kids don't know that. They'll mostly say *insert some nobody here* made it. |

![]() | Cheap, but effective. I was there when you first starting teaching it to people. Funny how people do a ghetto version in the wine cellar stairway in mansion and the castle walkway (the little thing that you can walk under and has a roof). Put that in the guide too. Ghetto Instafall: You'll need small room with a roof nearly touching your head (winecellar room in mansion is a good example) UpperCut > slash > slash > slash > shoot > switch > shoot |

![]() | Females do it the best in my opinion. I can land it well mostly with them. Males, I have a harder time with since the first slash takes longer to reach it's target compared to the first swing of a females. |

![]() | Oh the Always fall thing sounds like when you hit them on the way down. If that's the case, people will recover in time and when you hit them like that, they'll just do a quick flip and land. |

You flip them, wait til the last possible second (wait longer and you wont hit them on the way up) then slash. Its really hard to do. I didn't put descriptions, but you CANNOT safefall from it. | |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | i got taught instafall when i was lvl 5. i had dagger and pressed right click. good thing this is in one of the lesser read sections of gzf, we dont need instafal idiots running around in every game. instafall is cheap, lame, and skilless. dont say pressing a few buttons in a second takes skil cuz it dont, the only thing that takes skil in this game is aim. |
