![]() | THIS GUIDE IS INCOMPLETE AND WILL REMAIN SO FOR A WHILE X_x with Ggunz coming out, i'm buying a pirate suit and since I don't like how the ninja suit looks on gunz, i'll prolly need to change the name of this (work in progress) NOTE: NARUTO quotes are used as a distraction, the "quality" of any anime is unimportant pertaining to this tipoc X_x Here is my (prolly incomplete) guide on one of the "styles" called: The Noob Style no Jutsu []This style is best used in an 1 on 1 sword duel... []This is not like butterfly where you push a series of buttons to perform a "move" []This is more akin to "turtle" (and you can easily switch between defensive turtle and "Noob Style") it emphasizes on strategy rather than "I can push 10 buttons in less than a second" []Like anything else, knowing how to use something is different from knowing when to use something... []This guide will explain some of the basic dynamics of the game. []I wrote this for those with an open mind and want to try something "new". Background: I’m more of a sword guy and one “style” I’ve developed to use in sword games is what I like to refer to as the Noob Style Jutsu, those that fought me will notice that I will swing my sword wildly like the way someone who first played a sword game would. This is something I like to do on those days that I don’t feel like pressing too many buttons as this “style” does not demand quick fingers, but rather a strategic mind. The Noob Style no Jutsu. (for use mainly in a sword duel) Quote:
F4=I’m a shinoobie from the village hidden within the noob and am a master of the noob style jutsu F8=Noob style (tai)jutsu: Noob Whirlwind Reason? As you can see the macros are based on the anime Naruto, I use them when I begin a bow duel to get my opponent to read it and get them thinking about what this “noob whirlwind” that I am using. The macros are used for a distraction purpose and to (hopefully) make the opponent take me less seriously (underestimation is a common downfall)…that and I wear that lvl 0 red suit which surprisingly, many people don’t check my lvl before fighting me. The Noob Whirlwind: good for 100 ping or lower <>This is what I use mostly when I play a sword game and here is the breakdown <>This is the usage of basic sword attacks in a tactical way. <>This is what "Noob Style" centers around A quick rundown of the basics. -slashing can be done at different speeds (the timeing of your mouse clicks can determine if your sword swing fast or slow during each slash) -“spin” your character so you will slash all around you (or the animation would look like it) but always keep your camra on your opponent as the direction of your attack is based on the direction of your "crosshair" rather than the direction your character is facing. -use feet slash (this is the "hidden" advantage as it bypasses block, to perform, look all the way down and slash) -stay in one spot and let the opponent run into the slashes (i've written an essay on hit and damage boxes in my perpetual thread, the way it works is that your damage range is longer standing still than someone who is moving toward you) but move toward them if they are not advancing. -block, dodge, and glitch evade when necessary (skyblock and ground block is helpful to learn and always block around 45 degrees from the opponent as it can factor in the glitch evade) -think of it as an offensive turtle -MOVE even tho you are waiting for your opponent to run into your slashes, it doesn't mean that you have to stay in one spot, try to move strategically so that you are in proximity to your opponent to lure them into attacking. -most of the time your opponent will approach you (bfing is the most common in a sword game) -you are staying still and attacking while your opponent is moving and attacking, this means that your sword will hit them before their swords hit them -you are creating a "barrier of sword slashes" -follow basic turtle instincts and block/evade when you feel like you need to -this relies more on patience and letting your opponent kill them selves as they run into your sword slashes, but any time they mess up (missed massive, sword recoil, just plain holding block), you should rush in and do a 3 sword slash combo -one trick when you gave your opponent a massive is to hold block (skyblock preferably) and just walk into them so that it looks like your character model is going into their character model, most of the time they will recoil instead of getting a massive off if they try to massive The sword slashes of the Noob Whirlwind: The 4-slash combo: (the trap) -this is the “filler” move where you just do the full sword swing combo until your opponent gets close to you -the swing speed of the sword can be delayed -this is more evident in the 3rd and 4th swing -try to time it so that the 3rd or 4th swing hits the opponent as they approach -use block to cancel your sword combo so that you can start the combo to better match your opponent’s movements -each swing will have a sort of a “lingering” effect where even after the actual sword model has already pass a spot, someone running into that space where the sword was will still take damage -this “lingering” effect is better demonstrated when one swing the sword and hit block to cancle the swing animation The 3-slash combo (the attack) -hitting block right after your 3rd swing will allow you a chance to defend if your opponent get to close - 3 is the number of swings to feet slash someone that is blocking -the first swing will activate their massive -the 2nd and 3rd swing will deal damage and give you time to block, dash backwards, or glitch evade the incoming massive -*note: sometimes if you pull off the 4th swing fast or they wait a bit more to release the massive, you can knock them back but this can be risky (TO BE ADDED LATER) DASH JUMP BLOCK BLOCK-CANCLE Final words? Unlike butterfly, where you practice your fingers so that you can attack/defend/move to gain an advantage and eventually move at maximum speed and you use that speed to overwhelm your opponent, the Noob style no Jutsu relies more on your predicting your opponent’s moves and can be classified as a “turtle” move. -this is for those that don’t have the dexterity (yet) to perform those high speed moves -this is for anyone to try because anyone can click the attack button 4 times -knowing the range of your sword and how to avoid massives is the key to winning -instead of thinking that there is a time limit where you have to kill your opponent in a bow game -think of it as each time he/she run into your slashes his hp goes down, yours doesn’t -this is not going to guarantee that you “own” but it is another way of playing -Feet slash is important and it is where you look all the way down and slash -when going against opponent that jumps, look at them as you do your swing combo but also keep an eye on a small black circle below them, this “shadow” can tell you where they are as you use feet slash -for butterfliers that circles you, swing ahead of them and you will hit them -a butterfly, when hit, will be knocked to the ground for a moment, the recovery time is dependant on the skill of the butterflier, use that small moment when they get “grounded” to rush forward and do the 3 slash feet slash. -think of Butterfly as a moving "V" That’s about it for now… I’ll make it look more purdy later Extra stuff... Naruto haters will say: "OMG NARIL, YOU NARUTO FREAK, (insert anime here) OWNZ NARUTO!!!" Naruto lovers will say; "OMG NARIL, STOP MAKING FUN OF NARUTO!!!" ![]() | The duel with Chinmoku Me= uses "Noob Style" Chinmoku=the usual sword stuff, Bf turtle ect. 3 games (kodachi, katana, dagger) 10 round each... I won all the match with the katana being a lose game 6-5 (one round was draw) screen: Gunz003.jpg vids kodachi: Gunz009.gzr this shows "noob style" with some turtle mixed in keep in mind tha tthe ping between the opponent is 130-180 ish it demonstrates wide and small space combat. Katana: Gunz014.gzr a quick match, this also demonstrates that you do not have to stay still and note the quick bf backwards (jump back>slash>block) to evade the massive. Attachment 7559 another quick one, this one shows the usefulness of jumping, dashing and block cancling. Last edited by Naril; 08-02-2006 at 02:19 PM. |

| [zeh-fahyuhr] Resigned Super Moderator Golden Gunzfactorian ![]() | I'm sorry to say this, but I'm actually expecting this thread to be littered with flames by tomorrow. o_o; Or maybe reverse psychology works. Sorry, just pointing out the inevitable. T_T |

| Gunzfactorian Veteran Hero | Zephy, I'm gonna make that wish come true. 1) Naruto sucks. Plain and simple. It is one of the WORST anime EVER released. However, it rakes in money, so the creator just whores the image. He needs to get over the fact that nothing will ever, ever, EVER, be as popular as Sailor Moon. End. of. story. 2) "Noob Style no Jutsu" means "Technique of the Noob Style". Before using another language, TRY LEARNING IT FIRST. Baka. 3) There is never a 3. 4) Your "Noob Whirlwind" leaves you open to being blizzowned by anyone with a functioning cortex. For example. You are spinning around like the idiot noob you are. I butterfly, and use the momentum to charge in with a block. You recoil. I massive you, then legslash you repeatedly, taking off a good 40% of your HP. 5) I just noticed. That's your only move. 6) Soylent Greens. Rot in hell, noob. I demand a duel. |

| Gunzfactorian | This is weird cuz ive been developing a noob style of my own lol. My style consists of using all the "noob" tactics but being experienced with them. So mine is basically a experienced player using all the so-called noob tactics. And since this was already mentioned..... I dont like Naruto but I aint gonna say it sucks...To each his own...And i cant resist but.... Cowboy Bebop owns naruto Paranoia agent owns naruto Full Metal Panic owns naruto Trigun owns naruto lol |
