![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Someone taught this to me a few months ago. I haven't seen it discussed much, so I thought I'd post it for all you dagger users out there. Most dagger users know Extended Lunge by now. Direction Key -> Direction Key + Lunge (It helps if you rebind special attack to the keyboard.) You can actually add a stab to it. Direction Key + Stab -> Direction Key + Lunge Replay Tip: Against a blocking sword/kodachi user, try looking straight down and doing this combo (backwards lunge). The stab may or may not give the person a massive, but the lunge will hit for sure. It is extremely hard to counter this move. |

| Currently busy with GCE O' Levels | Kiedo brought this to attention some time ago with the discovery of Lunge Tap (serious here). Lunge Tap is reverse elunge + stab. If all goes well, the stab will give the target a massive(a la Block Tap), and as the target throws the massive, the lunge will hit the target, thus instafall (Massive Fall in daggerspeak). Even if the target does not react as intended, the reverse elunge will send you flying away from the enemy, so if you want to stay safe and try for an instafall without the risk of getting PB'd, Lunge Tap is one of your better choices. I suppose that forward elunge isn't used in Lunge Tap because you'll overshoot further, and you'll still want to be relatively close enough to drop in a few shots if the insta works. Sideways elunge is hard to aim. Besides, reverse elunge looks the coolest. |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | just a quick note, I am not trying to pick apart your posts, but you have a lot of misleading information.. Quote:
By the way, Thanks for bringing it up again, but Kiedo really did spam these forums with pictures of Lunge "Fap" and other MS Paint comics involving it lol. But most people don't even realize it can be done in other directions. But yet, sideways elunge has the largest radius of lunge hit range because the lunge moves sideways. Recently playing in castle games I have got about 15 replays of sideways e-lunges that have knocked people off the sides of castle when they are jumping, knocked them off the sides when they are climbing up the walls, and many other instances. In my opinion Sideways elunge is the most useful out of the four. Last edited by Traumatize; 06-26-2008 at 11:15 AM.

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | I dont know about trying a lunge tap with side e lunge, but i do agree that side e lunges have the most usefulness. Also, I used to think lunge tap was unreliable, as Nose said, but Shade's way (I really need to ask him how its different than the obvious way) makes it a lot quicker and gives much more likeliness of the enemy being insta'd (or if not insta'd, more likely to miss the safe fall). |

| Currently busy with GCE O' Levels | My assumption that Lunge Tap was bad came from comments made to me by Slap and Skyzinha (who are formidable, for anyone who doesn't know them). The stuff I said about Lunge Tap in different directions is stuff I assumed myself on the fly. EDIT: Lol I remember once when Sky told me he was going to stop Glitch Evading all together and try to Massive Fall whenever his opponents got a massive. |

They also were probably doing it wrong lol, doing the stab to early as I described above. Also, I am Muga on GunZ if you didn't know.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yeah, this seems to be most useful going backwards. I don't use daggers much, but I ground stab when fighting sword users so that I don't have to bother glitch evading. |

On topic, to make e-lunge easier, set lunge to C or V or E or some key close to WASD that isn't being used. It is wayy easier to sync 1 hand than it is to sync both. So all you have to do now is W -> W+C, D -> D+C, S -> S+C, or A -> A+C. Think of a rhythm when you do it, like dah duh, with dah being W, A, S or D, and duh being W/A/S/D+C. Do it fast enough so it is dash speed any you have e-lunge off topic2, Dakantos why can't you play gunz?
