| Gunzfactorian Commando | 1) Q & A 2) How to play, the facts 3)tips and tricks 4)Teamwork!! 5)credits 1) Questions and Answers What is Counter-strike? Basically, Counter-strike is a massive online-world where every game consists of two teams; Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists. The goal in each game is different but there is always two teams. No more, no less. Then what's Counter-strike have to do with Gunz? Using Gunz, you can re-enact a game from Counter-strike; but there are rules to follow to make sure you aren't kicked (more detail in section 2) Where can I find Counter-strike games on Gunz? why you asking me? what can I or can't I do in a CS match? refer to section 2 2)How to play, and the facts How to play a) Straight to the point. Daggers only, no swords, no kodachis. All guns are welcomed, rockets can be an exception. Meds and the three types of grenades are allowed so long as you don't spam the map with napalm death. b) Very important, You can't K-style (no wall-run, no wall-slash, flips, dashing, tumbling, no massives charging or right-clicking although jumping is allowed. Basically, if you can't do it in real Counter-strike you can't do it in the Gunz version. The Facts Fact1) If you don't follow the rules above, you're bound to be kicked Fact2) rifles and other rapid-fire weapons are the most commonly used weapon in Gunz CS. Keep in mind spraying like an *** will get you nowhere. Fact3) MajorMK pawns you when it comes to a Counter-strike match Fact4) Just so there's no confusion, CS games are also referred to as "CS-style" Fact5) In original Counter-strike there are various game modes (capture the flag, etc...). In Gunz, there's only one: kill the other team!! Tips and Tricks a) always seek cover! If you're firing out in the open, chances are you're screwed. Gunz maps are littered with crates or whatever you can hide behind, use them to your advantage! b) In turn, if a bunch of enemies are hiding behind some cover; throw a grenade or two to flush them out. c) Avoid using smoke grenades. Thrown in groups, they cause an obscene amount of lag in the game. Stick to flash-bangs or normal grenades. d) Personally, castle and town are the best maps I've tried. Avoid using maps that require you to wall-slash or dash about, that just kills the CS experience. Stick to small easy maps that'll let you get into the action fast! e) probably the most important tip I can give you: do not hesitate to use your dagger!! If an enemy is in your face, take out your dagger and shiv em' in the kidney! I've seen many people leave a CS game when they hear they have to use a dagger, believe it or not; it's pretty fun! Just remember there's no massives or lunging. Teamwork!! An essential in CS!! >> Definitely the key to winning all of your CS matches is teamwork! If you or your team decides to be a lone-wolf hero, he or she will most likely be shot and killed before they can do anything beneficial >_< Safety in numbers! >> Know what your team-mates are doing!! Keep constant communication with them (use the team-chat ^_^). Simple phrases hotkeyed to wherever can prove helpful (ie. enemy spotted! or requesting back-up!). Just remember not to spam the chatbox with them, otherwise your team-mates can and most likely will turn on you. >>Co-op attacks are useful when dealing with lone enemies. Back them into a corner and double/triple/quadruple stab them (or shoot them down, whichever). Do remember that the other team can see your victim's name. If they notice it's suddenly disappeared, and a grey sentence pops up in the chatbox that says "GuyA has been defeated by GuyB", it'd be much better to get the hell outta there than stay and fight. >> Suppose your team is retreating from an enemy attack and one of your soldiers volunteers to stay behind and "hold them back", for the love of heck don't let them!! Drag them away if you have to, stopping the whole bloody team with a single guy is virtually pointless and in fact, you'd have to be half-retarded to allow that (and even if you are, that's not a bad thing >_>). This whole thingy relates back to the lone-wolf hero idea. Credits and thanks Me- for writing this guide Ars Draconis- for being such a great clan! I've never found anything wrong with excessive jumping so I didn't include it in the guide. If they're jumping too much for my taste, I shiv em' in the kidney ![]() | |
