| Gunzfactorian Guardian | I was going to test out every weapon in the game and screenshot it's recoil on a wall from a certain distance for EVERY SINGLE WEAPON [entropy plz] but then I decided, hey, it would be more accurate and easier to just rip it out of the game code. IMPORTANT NOTE Guns achieve their maximum inaccuracy [spray] when spammed. That is why some revolvers have the same ctrl_ability as a machine gun. I know that revovlers tend to aim very well with the occasion of a crappy shot and other guns in it's ctrl_ability tend to recoil bad, but this guide should give you the general idea of which weapons have the best accuracy. How did I do it? I unpacked system.mrs and looked inside the zitem.xml file, which lists all the weapons and stats of each. Here is an example: Code: <ITEM id="1" name="STR:ZITEM_NAME_1" mesh_name="dagger01" totalpoint="0" type="melee" res_sex="a" res_level="0" slot="melee" weapon="dagger" weight="5" bt_price="20" delay="366" damage="8" range="160" ctrl_ability="0" magazine="0" reloadtime="0" slug_output="false" gadget_id="0" hp="0" ap="0" maxwt="0" sf="0" fr="0" cr="0" pr="0" lr="0" color="#FFFFFFFF" image_id="0" bullet_image_id="0" magazine_image_id="0" desc="STR:ZITEM_DESC_1" />
The Maxwell LX30 and LX44 are both rifles with the ctrl_ability of 20. THE CHART! All guns listed, specific names given. In order from BEST AIM to WORST AIM. Premiums are in italics. Quest items are underlined. Weapon categories: Pistol Revolver SMG Shotgun Rifle Machine gun Rocket Launcher Other
Chart summary The general weapon type and it's spray.
Weapon-spray relations What weapons have most/least spray?
Wait, what do all these numbers mean? Heres the general idea of each ctrl_ability on a wall in town: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Weapon vs. Weapon ![]() ![]() Then check out the ellanx2 vs. the shottie... /gasp ![]() Continued in next post~~ Last edited by RPGoof; 07-30-2008 at 08:28 PM. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | Single weapon spam vs. swap shot spam ![]() ![]() ^the first image had like one shot that went way inaccurate but it disappeared before I got the screenie Conclusion and Special Thanks I really hope you guys enjoyed this guide, I spent some time on it and Id like to see people storing this information in their brain. I was first trying to prove that certain weapons are more accurate than others, but hey, why not give you guys a good idea on how accurate these guns really are? Special Thanks goes to GunzFactor for their weapons table, it helped me name the weapons according to what weapon type and lvl it was. zitem.xml doesn't list the specific names ~_~ And also Legion for creating Entropy so I could test out a few guns. And everyone whos pointed out errors and/or stuff I could touch up on in the guide, I really appreciate the feedback and want to make this guide the best it can be. And ALSO thanks to Clois for posting the new bounty armor and weapons, I used his/her information for the guide. Of course, when they officially become released on ijji GunZ, I'll be taking a look at the stats myself, but the info was nice. ![]() | Very good information. One suggestion though, the pictures are kinda confusing. Go into a map where you have a clear wall, and a reference on the ground, shoot from there to the wall. Instead of posting whole images, cut them, and post pairs of images for each weapon: -weapon xpto -> single shot target image, spam/burst target image another thing, you are mixing precision with accuracy, what you are presenting is weapon precision ![]() |
