I dont have a video but i can butterfly pretty good. I still have problems with it, but its pretty decent for a lvl 15 now. ill try to get a video up. |

| Gunzfactorian Guardian | For me, it took a week and a half of DEDICATED pratice to get a very fast BF, i had tried it before and gave up. Now I'm extremely fast at BFing, qand the irony of it all is that i beat a ton of K-stylers in sword only fights even though I am e-style (trust me, all e-stylers should learn to bf or get raped at close range). I have taught bfing to quite a few people, and have learnt the very best method for learning to bf (better than just reading the key sequence from a guide) First stage Jump and dash right after the jump. This is the very most important part as your bf is only 10% effective if you cant dash properly while doing it. Learn to jump and dash continuously, then increase the speed. Start jump dashing one direction first, increase your speed till you are comfortable with it and doing it at a VERY fast speed. Once you have that down, start learning to do it from the different directions one at a time, start forward, then backward, then left, then right. After you have mastered each direction, start doing opposite direction. Start front to back, increase your speed, then do side to side and increase your speed. After you have mastered all this, start mixing up your directions in an unprediactable manner. ake sure you are able to do each section PERFECTLY before moving to the next direction. Spend about 2-4 days on this Next stage Jump dash and slash immediately after dash. Make sure you are always slashing in the air and never on the ground. STart doing one at a time, then once your comfortable try doing it continuously. Do not increase speed too much because the sword has a set delay. Then start switching up your directions like you did with the dashing exercise. Once you have mastered this, start doing it extremely fast and in mixed directions. spend 2-4 days on this Last stage Jump dash slash and block immediately after slash. This is the hardest part, and the section you will be spending the most of your time on after you have mastered the first 2, this is the full BF. Start doing one bf at a time, then try to get it continuous, and start switching directions like in the jump dash excercise. Start each part at a slow pace, then once you have mastered it all, increase your speed. One important key is to memorize the tapping sound pattern you make on your keyboard, it keeps the rythm in your minds, so you can increase the speedof the rhythm at your will. Keep on this section and dont give up as it is the lastk, but hardest and longest stage. After you have a decent speed, start fighting other people with your bf, notice how they fight and learn how to LEAD when you bf, and other vital BFing strategies. Afterwards you will be deadly in all close range fights, even if your an e-styler. Last edited by shintenzu; 01-15-2007 at 08:24 PM. |

I am 2 days into the game and I am at the last stage. problem is I still dont do it fast enough comparing to other pros and replays I watched. Are there a more advanced bf like doing 2 slashes in one jump? Would be great if you can give me more hints like this to my questions here - What should I choose if I focus on long range? And more!! | Gunzfactorian Patriot | I still suck at bf in my opinion after 2 years thats why I learned to turtle but.. the best way to learn is to do them 1 at a time and make sure your doing it right. Jump, dash, slash, block (wait like half a second) Jump, dash, slash, block (wait like half a second) etc.. Make sure your not doing this.. Jump, dash, slash, jump, block (or jump somewhere else in there) That makes you jump after you finish the bf and can mess you up alot.. I had to relearn bf (and hs, ss etc) because I did that and It makes you go slow. |
