cannot get gunz to run on my laptop

Sup ya'll, I'm new to Gunz, my friend just told me about it, so I decided to check it out. But alas. It wont work on my lap top... here are my laptop stats:

17" WSXGA
Turion 64 MT-40 (2.2GHz)
256mb X700 PCI-E
1gig Kingston RAM
80gig Seagate Momentus HD
wireless w/bluetooth
onboard sound
Dual layer DVD-RW

Win XP Pro w/office student/teacher
nod32 antivirus
windows defender anti-spyware (beta2)

I have latest drivers and latest direct x btw.

what happens: I downloaded the client, and installed, ran it, and it says "torrenting Files" so I click on the little blue "i" button (which I assume is for "info") status says "connecting, but everything else is at 0%, 0 b/s, 0 b, 0 this 0 that... 0 everything except for total size which is 138.4mb. I even have 0 health... dang it. Dead already... but anywho...

So yeah... let it sit for hours... nothin happens. It's not being blocked by Defender or anything... so i ctrl alt del and it's not responding... Get the updater for Gunz, install, still same story...

So yeah... no workie on my lap top.

on my girlfriends laptop: dell inspirion 5150
P4 3GHz
512RAM
32mb nvidia somethin or other that should be able to run it
win xp home office student teacher
norton a-v and spysweeper

it torrents the files, i start game, and it loads to "interfaceSkin" and well.... how long does it take... because i've let it sit there for half an hour loading the interfaceSkin...

I think this belongs in the tech section. Anyway with the loading interface thing, it shouldn't take that long so that means your having the same problem about 1/3 of the ppl have. No way to fix this. As for torrenting, try using bittorrent or azureus instead

i used bitlord for my torrenting, torrenting through gunz launcher doesnt work for me either

search the net for torrenting software but i think that one of the mods has the full torrent posted around the forums somewhere

R u using wireless connection with ur laptop? Coz mine i had to plug it directly into it becuase otherwize it kept going off. Really hope this helps.

Thats the whole file. You shouldn't have to torrent. I'm not not sure though. (You may also have to install a patch)
