Questions as a nub

Well as you all know, I'm still a huge nub, and I'm starting to get into 1v1 fights.

I'm fighting this kstyler in mansion map, and i'm kstylin along too, and I can tell my opponent is low on life. We're in a hallway, and this person messes up and does a jump/bf, not a dash. I immediately seize this opportunity, whip out my rifle, *bam* *bam* *bam*, she dies.

After this, she says (not calls me), "spray!".

So my question is:

Is it a tradition that when fighting kstylers you aren't allowed to spray/use gernades? Cuz from her tone apparently shooting any automatic weapon in a 1v1 duel is frowned upon.

2nd Question:

If it's not ok to spray (if only to this person, and i wasn't even *spraying*, i shot like 7 rounds total from a walcom lvl 15), why is it ok to RS? RS is as fast.

3rd Questions:

What other traditions are there in 1v1ing? Cuz like, I don't wanna appear as a complete idiot when vsing some pro ^-^''

lol if she cant handle spray then she's the newb, the only rules in a 1v1 should be said and agreed upon before the fight.

there's really no tradition, rules are decided before the duel.
Even tking rule should be suggested before dueling, just to make sure.

You cant Spray, Heal, Use Rockets, Use Grenades, Shoot, Or even attack, your aloud to move but only forward and you cant use your mouse to turn.

This is so the k styler in question can keep this feeling that there good when really there just average but cant accept this fact. Everyone wants to be the next "Insert Current Big Shot K styler here", its an ego thing

lies meds are the only thing frowned upon in 1v1 because rockets are hella easy to fight someone with low ap unless they real pro or
sprayer because since you're always shooting its easy to dodge and make the reload

The only rules in 1v1's are no healing, no tking, and no hacking. Also, read the 'Spray isnt noob, you just suck [READ]' thread.

EDIT: eh heh. on the tk part, i tk all the time when a cocky fag wants to 1v1 me and thinks he's the ShlT. It pisses them off more and makes them play like crap.

Even though using automatics are frowned upon, there are no rules to it, even though meds pisses ppl off like crazy. The only reason i don't use autos in 1vs1s is cuz i don't like ppl getting angry at me for killing them with a gun.

The term spray noob is used, 80% of the time, as a way to excuse oneself from a humiliating defeat at the hands of another player. Three shots from a shotgun is not spray. It's three shots, not an 80 non-stop shoot from a machine gun.

I've not fought in alot of 1v1 matches, but I've noticed that people take them far too seriously sometimes. "OMG SPRAY NOOB!" "LOL U SUK!" and the list goes on of the rediculous, unnecisary, and just plain moronic insults people have thrown at me. I ignore it or leave, depends on my mood.

And as for what things you can and can't do...decide before the match or your going to get "omfg you cheap noob no ( insert something here) stupid" insult. Again, ignore it or leave it what I do.

follow these steps to piss off your opponent

1. switch to rifle/smg's/mg ect.
2. spray them to death

If someone is shooting non-stop, but hitting almost every bullet instead of the lucky few in a 1v1, it's not spraying. I call it good aim.
