![]() | Everyday i see more and more people call the higher damage handguns pistols and the faster, lower damage handguns revolvers, call me crazy but i always thought that a revolver had low ammo and could blow a nice hole in someone and that pistols are kinda what police use, lots of ammo, fast reload, etc. Google image of a revolver http://www.emf-company.com/images3/1...r-frontier.jpg Google image of a pistol http://www.lawtonpd.com/images/pistol.jpg http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/revolver |

| Gunzfactorian Soldier | lol thats not the difference between a rev and a pistol. Revolvers are called revolvers coz they have their bullets contained in a chamber which revolves as a bullet is shot. Usually the chamber contains 6 bullets inserted in a circular fashion. As each bullet is shot out, the chamber rotates and the next bullet gets into position. A pistol contains a magazine, where the bullets are loaded one on top of another. As a bullet is shot out, a spring pushes the next bullet in place. So no! The damage, speed or calibre does not give a handgun its type! -filya (proud owner of a steel Desert Eagle pistol.....airsoft tho ) |

![]() | -.-; i know WHY its called that but in-game does a revolver actually REVOLVE, no..so the only OTHER way is to do it by damage, speed and bullet ammount correct? and we cant exactly see into our guns so we have no idea if it has a spring -.- but revolvers are louder since they are a higher caliber so i guess you can tell by that as well (proud hunter of everything that moves (-..-) Last edited by Avatar; 06-21-2006 at 01:00 PM. |

Revolvers have less ammo. But they still have a lot. And they are really strong. Pistols are fast shooting, lots of ammo, and pretty weak. But all the weapons in GunZ reload at the same rate.. I think? | |

![]() | Back on topic for Avator: yes, there are lots of ignorant people in Gunz calling the two guns by the wrong names, and do not know the difference. you are correct in your naming. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Mostly revs have high power and low repeat rate and pistols have high repeat rate and lower damage. Revs: High Damage Low Ammo Longer Delay between shots Medium Accuracy Pistols: More ammo Low Delay between shots Very good Accuracy Wish they had this little gun here in the game tho. ![]() |
