| Member | I recently switched from QE345 to 12345 and i wanted some opinions on fingering. I read the guide by kaiscorpion, but some of his finger setups are awkward to me. It seems to me that quickstep or flashstep work as a good fingering base for any keyboard layout since pretty much all other moves, except bf, will use basically the same configuration(switchclimbing, ss, hs, etc). Here is what i am doing: QuickStep(primary) forward - index on 'w', middle on 2 and ring on 1 backwards - index on 's', middle on 2 and ring on 1 right - index on 'd', middle on 2 and ring on 1 left - ring on 'a', middle on 2 and ring on 1 QuickStep(secondary) forward - middle on 'w', index on 3 and ring on 1 backwards - index on 's', middle on 3 and ring on 1 right - index on 'd', middle on 3 and ring on 1 left - ring on 'a', middle on 3 and ring on 1 Flashstep, of course, would just be me adding an appropriate dash to this. My concerns are using my index to dash forward feels awkward and i don't like having to use different fingers for forward QuickStep(ss, hs, etc) depending on which weapon i use. I think I can get past these little awkward bits, but i wanted opinions about my finger setup as well as any suggestion about how i might improve this. Please only default controls(12345) since thats what i am learning. Thanks Much. P.S. did Recursive ever finish his fingering guide? |
