I'm pretty sure there are moves which give as much distance as Light Step, but are more complicated and thus better.

You're Light Stepping down a corridor. If you were using a more advanced move, you would be traveling faster or at the same speed, yet have a faster reaction when fighting back because the advanced moves usually involve pulling out a gun.
