Wait what..? They keep emphasizing that FINAL MESSAGE and how they never had access to it. Granted, no one really saves myspace messages on the hard drive but there's always a copy on the account itself. Since they had access to previous conversations and such I don't see why Megan would take the time to delete something and then continue to be in a saddened rage of suicide.
