Jesus was tempted, but resisted I'm sure. That's a mistranslation, anyone can be tempted, even God because of this reason. Temptation is a two sided thing, the tempter and the temptie. The tempter does the act of tempting, and the temptie merely receives it. So lets say I pray to God and ask him to smite everyone with brown hair (quite a dense population) he doesn't have to do it but he was still tempted by me to do so. He heard the prayer, he "received" the temptation. Just as Jesus may have been tempted but that reflects none who he really was.
