Damn, I can't get what he's thinking! Literally!

Face it, he learnt. He knows how to use us without us affecting his mind. He can't use it forever though.

Kjal could hear, but he wasn't listening. His own sight was blinded, by pictures of the past, death, and some of which he's never seen before. Especially the one where a grey rifle was aiming at a certain heart that he knew. Then the loud bang and squelch that follwed had never left him.

He ran at a normal, humane pace. He wasn't running like a demon, neither like a bounty hunter. Just another mortal, but this mortal does not fear death. Only for his life.

Then, he kept on running, further and further away from civillization. Then, suddenly, running into a stone wall, the crack of his nose brought him back to reality. The crack was enough. The pain was too insignificant.

He laid there for several seconds, then corrected his nose and stood up. He now walked slowly...

No more running...no more. I can avoid it. I can keep running....or can I?

...Into a village that was certainly familliar. It was the last place of where he met his brother. He walked around the place, noticing the burnt buildings and the inn of where Gheony, Jeremy, Lessnior and he had taken their last drink together. Right before Lessnior was killed.

Then, as he walked around a corner, he saw a sight that could never actually forget for the rest of his life, but was rather a memorable photo in his old album. As he stared and stared, his fear subsided into peace. The tides of panic changed into a ripple of silence.

He stood still, in the silence of the kingdom. He kept staring, and stared...
