Oh yeah, I played this game up at college with the people I usually played SSB with. And this one kid who wouldn't go away who really sucked would play...We'd always rip him apart...but then once brawl came out he would start winning when he played ike...solely because ike is so damn strong and has such a far reach, you get busy fighting somebody else and the next thing you know you're launched off the screen at 50% because ike slapped you with a weak attack.
If you play online random matches ike will ALWAYS win unless the player is just terrible.
Also one of the girlfriends who would play wouldn't play any character but kirby for some reason (despite kirby being total horse**** in melee), brawl comes out, she starts winning.
We weren't terrible melee players either, we were pretty proficient in wave dash and the other pro moves.
Onno, brawl just doesn't have the charm...it's too floaty and slow.
