People can't take things in stride any more.
They over react.
I was watching the twilight zone marathon on scifi network the past two days and I realized something I never paid much attention to, back in the day when you insulted somebody, they didn't **** a brick of rage, they usually remained calm and bested you or simply shut up.

Now obviously these are actors and it wasn't real footage of people, but the concept is there.

Now days if you told a superior that you wouldn't touch anything their "greasy fingers" have been on, I'm sure you'd be gone in a second.
