Default The Knight's Broken Wings Part 1

A sort of Intro into the story, if you guys like it, I'll keep writing, if not, I'll stop XP

------------------------------------------------------------------------

The air was stifling with the aroma of incense and perfume. The mid-sized purple tent was sparsely furnished, a few small stools covered in candles and books. There was a small round table in the middle covered in a lavishing tablecloth fit for a king, covered in small gold designs. It was completely bare save for a large sphere that seemed to have a thin white cloud inside of it, swirling methodically. Two cherry wood chairs sat facing each other, one vacant, the other housing a thin woman.

Contrary to popular beliefs, this Gypsy was beautiful, and though many had proposed, she accepted no man. She wore a red silk bandana on her head that kept her long black hair out of eyes that were the color of a stormy sea. She wore a baggy blouse with a ruffled collar and purple pants that blossomed out only to become tight again at a cord around her ankles. At only twenty-one, Cynthia Morris was the most wanted woman to all men that had seen her.

And the story was no different for this young lad, still young at nineteen, and fit as one could expect as a soldier in training for the Miderian army. Many a girl had swooned over him, waiting anxiously for him to love them back. But their unrequited love soon soured and they knew no love from any other man, for their hearts had turned to ice.

So it seemed only natural that a meeting of the hearts was arranged, and whether by god or fate, Their destinies were to be one, at least that’s how it seemed. For after they met, Cynthia strayed from her crystal ball, for the die had been cast, and she knew how it must end. With betrayal and a broken heart.
