Re: Quick question to christians Mmkay, here's an old quote I remember from Jesus from back when I went to crappy Sunday school classes.... It's something along the lines of "If there is a corn field to my left, and a wheat field to my right, I cannot go to the corn field and demand wheat of the corn workers, and I cannot go to the wheat field and demand corn of the wheat workers".
Basically, this means that one cannot be blamed for their actions if it's all they know, and it's all they've ever believed in. If you truly think it's alright to go around on your merry way humping every person in your sight, then by all means, go right ahead, if you truly believe it to not be sinful, then you're good to go.
So, even if all those people were sinful and whatnot, it wouldn't really matter, as it was before the laws of God were laid down, they didn't really "know" per se what this so called God wanted of them, and just lived their lives according to their own ideologies and beliefs, thus making it alright, so long as they still believed they were good people, and were not purposely doing things that they personally believed to be wrong. Or so I've been taught, anyhow. |
