Not a very consistent/effective strategy. Especially since you aren't

a) Blocking : bf/dbf is good for blocking shots from the front while moving. You can also forbidden bf off of dbf.

b) Gear switching : When you're not gear switching, you have your sword out and you aren't blocking, you're setting yourself up for rape. When you're switching weaps on the move at least you can whip out a gun when you need to take a shot. Light stepping without a block cancel will ground you when you take a shot. Or just fail.


I'm talking about a method of play with 100% silent flash steps (which is quite possible and easy with practice, I do this myself constantly). There is no "sometimes" dash noise when I move. Unless it's purposeful.
