I loled at .7, I don't often come here, nice suggestions btw.
After months of watching newbies arrive at our wonderful crosshair section, I decided to compile a few suggestions for making everyone's experience here the most abso-tively-super-fantastically-splen-diferously-good...(YAY FOR HYPERBOLE)
Here they are:
1. Under NO circumstances should ANYONE post a technical question without first consulting the wonderful stickies. And yes, that does require you to actually read the thread not just click and say "umm, i checked the stickies and couldn't find it ANYWHERE." Pretty much every conceivable question has been answered before so unless you have some issue concerning a small 3 legged poodle and your difficulty using your crosshair because of it, please refrain from posting stupid questions.
2. In a similar way, you can always use the handy search feature, which was not built into the forums just to look pretty.
3. When posting a new thread please don't use a title like "crosshairs thread" or "my first crosshair" or "crosshair" or any other ambiguous combination of the word "crosshair" or thread that I can't conceive now.
4. Don't preface your crosshair thread with an explanation of how you are foreign and don't speak good english or how you are a n00b and that's why all your crosshairs suck.
5. When replying to other peoples crosshairs consider how you would like to be treated. Not only does "0/10 YOU SUCK" not tell the person why their work is bad it could also have some drastic (possibly fatal) effects on the more unstable of our fellow crosshair makers.
6. Keeping the above suggestion in mind, always include some sort of reason behind your rating. Getting a 1/10 with a good explanation is much more beneficial to the maker than getting a 10/10 PURE PWNAGE without some kind of reasoning. As a crosshair maker, i always strive to make better work so every little comment helps.
7. Don't take crosshair legends' work(The-Onciest, InvadorZim, NOZFX...) and then add a smily face in the corner and post it as an original work. This really goes for anyone's work really. Ripping other peopl's designs off is pointless and stupid, plus you are guarenteed to receive large quantities of hate(best served with a portion of guacamole i've been told), which generally isn't very comforting.
8. Don't post unfinished works unless you are asking for help. Posting unfinished works is dumb. Plain and simple, if it isn't finished don't post and say "this is what i've done so far," if your work isn't done then you shouldn't present it in these forums.
9. Maybe even more important than the above suggestion, if you DO break suggestion #8 or if you are revising a crosshair, then DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT delete your original crosshair. Simply save your revised crosshair under a different name and post that too. It is confusing to people who read early posts and have no idea wtf the original comments are about, plus it helps people comment about your progress, etc.
10. Follow the instructions of whoever originally posts. That means that if someone says "pls rate" RATE IT!!!, it's not that difficult really, just follow their directions, they posted for a reason after all.
Ok so thats it! Read. Absorb. DO!
aww, no more pretty colors![]()

Meh, mods don't like coloring like that because some people get "seizures from it" (? I know XD). Nice guide tho (=P I usually write guides >_<)
So I decided to compile a few examples of my rules being broken just for laughs...
1. Um HELLO!!!, there is an official request thread for a reason
2.Title:How do u put a custom crosshair into the game to use
^^ this works for 1,2 and 4
3.Look at any page of the Custom Crosshairs and you can see at least 2 or 3 threads called "Crosshair thread" or "crosshairs"
4.
5.
6.These aren't bad posts, but instead prime examples of how you can say someone's crosshair sucks while still being helpful
7. ^^compare what Zim posted to what the original idiot posted
8 & 9. Rofl, I just had to include this one
10.Original instructions:
Post:
this is just me but id say sticky this but...one of the rules says to READ the stickies so like if they dont read this then their pretty much screwed, xD
and its very true about the search button thing xD
xD I love example 8 & 9.
Change colors to one total pl0x, admins have very strict tastes and they don't advise that many colors.
STICKY THIS THREAD OR PHAIL, ADMINS AND MODS!
But first, remove that color... omg my eyes are bleeding o_O
That's so freakin better... That previous dark red was horrible.
Next stop: I'll call TheOnciest on msn![]()
BigLord, you know my only goal was to make your eyes bleed, don't yah?
LMFAO
Awesome man!
Definately stickied.
And I thought you were caring for the newbies... foolish me
EDIT: YAY! Stickie!![]()
OMFG, w00t!!! stickied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
