Not really a question related to crosshairs, but:

Q: What is a crosshair?
A: A crosshair is the thing in the center of your screen that you aim with.
Q: What is a recoil crosshair?
A: A recoil crosshair is a crosshair that have recoil parts, usually crosshair_l.png, crosshair_l_pick.png, crosshair_r.png, and crosshair_r_pick.png for left and right recoil parts. Files that end with 'pick' means it's the aimed version. A recoil crosshair's recoil parts will move away during coninuous fire and return back to normal when you stop. In a way, it shows where your bullets might hit. If you're using an inaccurate weapon, the recoil parts will start further away.
Q: What is a fullscreen crosshair?
A: A fullscreen crosshair is a crosshair that's almost always, if not always, 800x600 in size. It's meant to take up the entire screen so extra things can be added like a custom HUD. You can make a box for your weapon in a corner, a box for the chat box, 'HP' and 'AP' signs on your health and armour bars, and much more.
Q: Why won't my crosshair show up/work properly?
A: There are many reasons to why a crosshair doesn't show up/work properly. Remember that the only format supported is .png, so don't save it as anything else.
- First of all, make sure that the crosshair names are correct, meaning:-
crosshair.png - This is for your unaimed crosshair.
crosshair_pick.png - (Optional) This is for your aimed crosshair.
crosshair_t.png - (Optional) This is for the recoil part on top of the crosshair.
crosshair_t_pick.png - (Optional) This is for the aimed version of the recoil part on top of the crosshair.
crosshair_r.png - (Optional) This is for the recoil part on the right of the crosshair.
crosshair_r_pick.png - (Optional) This is for the aimed version of the recoil part on the right of the crosshair.
crosshair_b.png - (Optional) This is for the recoil part on the bottom of the crosshair.
crosshair_b_pick.png - (Optional) This is for the aimed version of the recoil part on the bottom of the crosshair.
crosshair_l.png - (Optional) This is for the recoil part on the left of the crosshair.
crosshair_l_pick.png - (Optional) This is for the aimed version of the recoil part on the left of the crosshair.
- Make sure the crosshair files are in [Wherever you installed GunZ] > CUSTOM > CROSSHAIR
- Make sure there are no unrelated files in that folder.
- To use the crosshair in the game, click on 'Options' at the top right corner and go to 'Misc.' Set your crosshair to 'CUSTOM.'
Q: Why is there a white box around my crosshair in the game?
A: This is because you didn't set the background as transparent. Unfortunately, MS Paint does not support transparency, so you'll need an image manipulation program that does. Programs like GIMP, Photoshop, and Ultimate Paint support transparency.
Q: Can I see other people's custom crosshairs in the game, like when viewing replays or watching others in team games?
A: No. The crosshair you see will always be the one you set.
Tips
- If you're making your first crosshair, go for something simple first to determine your style. Try not to make something too complicated, as it may end up odd. I learnt this the hard way.
- If you want something practical make sure the crosshair is semi-transparent.
- To aid in the crosshair user's aiming, try making a small hole in the center. Not too small so you can see through it, and not too large so that it does not hinder pinpoint accuracy on your first shot.
- If you want a crosshair that's practical, try not to make it too bulky, especially around the center.
- Try not to make the crosshair too dark, or too bright in colour. This may make it difficult to aim in dark or bright areas.
- Try not to use white, grey, black, or any shades of those colours. It might be hard to see in dark or light areas.
- If you want a crosshair that can stand out in both dark and bright areas, try making a crosshair with dark and bright lines close together. This will cause the dark colour to kick in in bright areas and the bright colour to kick in in the dark areas.
- If you have trouble making a fullscreen crosshair, try adding a screenshot of the game as a seperate layer as a guide. When you're done with the crosshair, remove the layer.

Good guide, I´d like to see some of your crosshairs.
There used to be many good ones in official forum, but now those are gone...
I've alway's wondered: Can other people see your custom crosshair while watching you play? (I assume not....)
If you use a custom crosshair and you die, while watching other players, will they appear to use the same custom crosshair?
When playing a replay, will everyone appear to use the custom crosshair?
Others can´t see your custom crosshair, because when they spec you they´ll see only their own crosshair, and it´s same for you, when you spec other players you can´t see their crosshairs, it shows your current crosshair instead, or so I recall.
so dus eny one think eny of the Xhairs iv made are eny good?

can someone make the first crosshair like a remake of it please like can someone make it to the size of number4 crosshair to that size but its normal color is black n wen aimed it turns red please someone make this i try to make it to hard if someone can do this for me i will be happy
