"GunZ: The Second Duel" Has Been Greenlit by Steam!

According to a recent update via Facebook and their Steam Community page, "GunZ: The Second Duel" has officially been greenlit by Steam! MAIET has this to say specifically:

I got the chance to ask a few questions & I want to share MAIET'S Answers with you.

1. Will GunZ 2 Come to Netmarble soon??

(A). MAIET Games: we're actually trying to get steam version or EU version up first.
MAIET Games: since korean online game market isn't doing well at all, priority for korea is pretty low.
MAIET Games: and we have high expectation for steam.

2. Are you guys planning to have beta testing for Steam?

(A). MAIET Games: I'm sure we will have to run a few beta testing first.
MAIET Games: it was tested in korea before, but NA/SA is totally different market.

Steam Greenlight - GunZ 2: The Second Duel

Vote today for GunZ 2: The Second Duel to be greenlit for Steam.

Being greenlit and approved by Steam could open up huge possibilities for the future development of the game and will most likely cause MAIET to push for a faster North American publishing as well.

Not only will GunZ 2 being picked up by Steam guarantee a significant population increase, but we can also expect frequent communication between Valve and MAIET in regards to overall development, game issues, upgraded security measures, and quality assurance done by a reliable company.

MAIET on GunZ 2 K-Style

It appears that we have a final confirmation from MAIET that there will not be a k-style in GunZ 2; however, it does appear that they're trying to convert the moves and create new options for combat that will appeal to "veteran players" as well. We'll keep you posted if there are additional responses.

According from the official account "MAIET Developer" on Steam, Gunz 2 has been confirmed for an estimated second quarter of 2013 in Korea. An ETA for the North American or international versions will be revealed once Gunz 2 has been been given the green light from Steam.

GunZ 2: the Second Duel is now available on Steam!

Ok... it's available on steam to vote on. While not released, this is still a very good sign for its release and would mean amazing things for distribution if it became available on Steam.
