Week of November 26, 2006

The past few weeks have been hectic for the majority of the GunZ community. The Ijji-GUNZ closed beta provided an experience many have been anticipating for years, while others were in dismay.

Guntrix had been working with dschang to make all of this possible. Although it wasn't as much as the "hype" to many, it was still a terrific playing experience to the GunZ veterans.

Ijj-GUNZ had Quest Mode, Duel Mode, Premium Items, and new anti-hacking software. It was like the new IGUNZ, except full version. While 90% of GunZ moved into the new "home", the rest of us were left in the dust. Many thought this was a benefit, stating that the "drawbacks" of GunZ were now gone, giving us IGUNZ players the game we've ultimately been waiting for.

In the new IjjiGUNZ, the server lagged every few seconds, for about 6 seconds average each. It got quite frustrating when you wanted to switch weapons really fast during the match before the round ended.

Duel Mode was an experience to many, especially to the top 3 who won the Geforce graphics card. Congratulations to them. New modified maps were added, such as Hallway and Dungeon, but with a new facial. GameGuard did its job to a few, but in the end, the hackers were back, as they found yet again, another method to get past the top-rate anti-hacking game security software. Glitches, just like in IGUNZ, were there.

However, the "Change Game Mode" glitch got very frustrating for many. This glitch allowed the user to change the game mode to suit their needs. A person could keep re-spawning under the mask of Team Deathmatch Extreme while the game would be in Team Deathmatch, or a Team Gladiator Battle Arena could be filled with the sights of bullets. It got ugly, but somehow we dealt with it.

Now it's back to IGUNZ for several more weeks, our home, before many of us kiss it goodbye and embrace IjjiGUNZ with open arms. After all, premiums, clan war server, Duel Mode, new maps, Quest, and more are what all the hype is about concerning Full Version of GunZ.

The new event of Clan Immigration from IGUNZ servers to IjjiGUNZ servers is underway, with Guntrix managing it. More can be found here, and is a great opportunity for the major pro clans. If you read carefully, you will see that the announcement mentioned that it does not reserve character names or such of the likes. For more info, read Guntrix's thread.

How will the IGUNZ community adapt to this new environment, away from "home"? A player known as Butter2005 comments, "It's what we've all been waiting for. Make the most of it!". Now, the official version of IjjiGunz has been released. Would it rise to the top or fall?
